Seagrass Surveys & Permitting

A majority of private and public projects that occur in coastal, lake or riverine habitats require submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) surveys during the permitting process for docks, boardwalks, and various other types of work. Such surveys must abide by state and federal standards and methods as a part of the permitting process. Backroads has extensive knowledge assessing SAV and working with agencies on approval processes by means of avoidance, smart designs, or re-location of SAV to new locations.
